The other option is duct tape but it can be brutal on the camera. The goodness with duct tape is that it is opaque thus no light gets through and the tape is bound to remain adhesive for a long time after placement. The other option is painter's tape that is better compared to duct tape but it can be hard to find. Another choice is cat stickers that can be placed on the camera and be easily removed and returned.
